Can't disagree with that analysis. And I doubt anyone would claim he was their favourite thing ever, except perhaps wife/offspring/parents. However, I was pleased to demonstrate how wrong User's absurd assertion was.

Radio for me too. To be able to concentrate on getting on with other things and still listen to the radio at the same time has always been magic to me.

I actually think it's nice to sit down and do nothing but listen to the radio.

After the obvious, my favorite thing is my bass trombone.

As for simple pleasures, I've two. The first is the sound made when opening a pack of butter, the second is the sound made when prising the cap off a bottle of beer.
