Which is strange as I could have sworn my first post was about a substitute for Cinelli 65 handlebars.I had just filled in an order for Prendas, I was just wondering if I really wanted the stuff, when up jumps puss, and puts her foot straight on the "enter" key. I am now the owner of a Gazelle team woollen jersey, which doesn't quite fit.
Did a 12 mile leg stretch last night. Just going out for a 60+ ride now. If it gets hilly enough I'll post a link to my Garmin trace.

Hi all,I'm a complete newcomer to all this but am just about to dive in to commuting an 18 mile round trip once I get my bike next week. As a mid 30's slightly unfit beginner would you reccomend this or go for a more slowly slowly approach?
P.S am looking at either a Spesh Vienna Globe 2 or a Trek 7.1 FX, not the most expensive of bikes I know but should do the job.
How do you find your first post? Going back thru 'my content' at 15 pages a time will take me all day to get back to 2007.
I'm in! Hoorah. Now, to tell Patrick where to find me...
Good thread User! Your first post is almost as boring as mine:
I've been lurking here so long I feel as if I know you all. Now it's time to say hello, though I'm not sure how much I'll be able to contribute. I've learned so much from reading your posts on all topics.
I'm pretty new to cycling as an adult, having gone everywhere by bike as a kid like most, ahem, older cyclists. I try and get out two or three times a week for solo or social rides, and use one of my three bikes (a Dawes tourer, a Trek hybrid, & old mountain bike) to go shopping and do errands. Did my first 100K this autumn, but rather slowly! I'd like to try an overnight ride, maybe next year if I'm fit enough by then.
I'm sure I'll have lots of silly questions to ask before long, bear with me.
