It all depends on what time I have to be in. I always check as I'm leaving the depot the previous day, to see if I'm out or in the warehouse. If I'm out I get up at 3:45! I have breakfast which is a cup of tea and a bowl of bran flakes. I then get dressed while watching the weather report on BBC. I then leave at 4:15 to walk to work to get in about 5:00. I walk in at that time as until I get my new bike I don't have any lights . If it's raining I put my leathers on at 4:45 and take the R46, on the Yam it only takes 7 mins. If I'm in the warehouse I start at 08:00, and I get up at 05:30 and have a shower then have breakfast. Then because it's then light a get dressed and at 07:30 leaving the house and get to work for 07:50 to start work at 08:00

Dayshift starts at 9am, so I am up at 7am and on the bike by 7.30.
18 mile commute, arrive at work 8.30 which gives me time to shower and grab a quick coffee.

Nightshift starts at 1800, same routine as above. Leave home 1630 arrive 1730 start work 1800.

People are getting up way too early. It's not reasonable.

I get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I go to bed. Eat a lump of cold poison, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when I get home, our Dad kills me, and dances about on my grave singing "Hallelujah.".

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Night work is unreasonable. Night workers should get double pay because it's so horrible.
Yes please , we get 30 % for nights which is what makes the job ok, without shift premium the wages would not be worth the lack of sleep etc .Today got to bed for 7.15 am and ruddy postman woke me up before 12 with a balance bike for mini ck#2 so i will have to get by on about 4 hours sleep tonight .
