My mum is 78. Here 18th birthday present was a sewing machine which she still uses for all her repairs. So it’s 60 years old. She gets it serviced every couple of years and the parts are still available.
My daughter takes all her clothes to get adjusted by her.

~25 year old pedestal fan, which ought to be my turbo fan instead of the fancy Taotronics(?) one that has better throughput, that lives in the lounge ready to assist during heatwaves.

No, but I don't buy stuff just to follow fashion. If I've got something I like, I won't generally change it unless I'm forced to.

Ditto. Probably best if I don't try to work out how old some of my still-worn clothes are.

My Sharp microwave is at least 20 Years old and used daily. Mr brother worked at Allders HO and got it with his staff discount and they went into administration in 2005!

Up till a few years ago I did have some Wahl, American made hairclippers bought by my late dad in the early 1950's. He brought them back from Hong Kong where he did most of his national service. I inherited them after his death 24 years ago. I never used them as I wasn't into 'selfie haircuts, when I had hair. I plugged them in one day to see if they still worked. They did, but I was sure I felt a slight tingle.😯 Maybe it was just from the clippers vibrating, but I binned them, thinking the old wires were very dangerous!🙄
