Last year I bought a Felt Z35 road bike after many years of riding an MTB. The Felt rides nice and not really got any issues with it.
The bike came with Mavic CXP22 rims and Felt OEM hubs which are okay, go round, still true and do what wheels do. I keep reading, including in some reviews of this particular bike, that a wheel upgrade would improve it, especially when climbing.
I don’t race or do anything competitive so I don’t want to spend a lot on super light wheels, on the other hand I don’t want to buy something that is essentially no better than what is on it already.
So my question is what do I need to upgrade too to make it worthwhile, and given the type of riding I do is it really worthwhile upgrading them at all?
