I'd like to upgrade the wheelset that came with my scott addict....

...they're Mavic Aksiums. Dead on wheels but I'd like to upgrade.

Anyone recommend decent wheelsets at around the £500 mark for general training and racing use?

Thanks

If you can afford it then the Ksyrium SL's are great all-round wheels.

Light and bomb-proof spokes/rims with good hubs.

The only downside is that they are not very aero.

+1 for Ksyriums. Absolutely great. Agree with everything above.

I've got a couple of seasons racing done on mine and while I'm sure aero would help to get aero at Kysrium weight your looking at upwards of £1k. At the 500 quid mark aero wheels are heavy and essentially pointless unless you're always riding pan flat roads.

Huge +1 for the Ksyrium SL's, here they are on my CAAD10

As above, i have upgraded my Cannondale carbon 6 wheels which were Mavic Aksiums to Fulcrum 3s. No problems at all with 1500 miles on them so far. Also when on a club ride i find that they just go on and on rolling on a decent.

When I ordered my C'dale and wanted to upgrade the wheels, I was umming and ahing between the SL's and the Fulcrum 1's. I went for the SL's as they came highly recommended by the shops team riders, look better then the F1's IMO, and they come with Mavic's 2 year crash replacement policy

Handbuilt by a professional. I recommend Paul Hewitt Cycles, they do deliver.

I went with an Ambrosio Excellight rim and Miche hubs, I have not been disappointed.
