All my bikes have come off ebay - and I've put a fair few back on there too. I'm actually planning to reduce my 'stable' next spring - I don't think I'm ever going to go back to the Vitus, and even I don't need two fixies. I'm aiming to end up with one fixie, one racer and one hybrid/pub bike. But that will probably mean getting back on ebay, because if I'm only going to have one racer, I'm going to make it a reasonably good one. Something carbon, for a change. And sell off the alu & steel ones I have now.

You forgot the person who has to abide by the rule "one in one out" due to space limitations.
I'd like to buy a new bike but currently have nowhere to put it:sad:.

being honest i either purchase frames or complete bikes and then build or repair them back and then ride for a few weeks too see if they ride themselves in to the keep section of garage or not those that dont get sold on , to fund the next purchase .

dread to think how many bikes have passed through our garage in last few years !!

at present 2.5 keepers , plus 1 doing test miles , 1 in repair stage , 1 frame in rebuild stage and 1 more frame awaiting start and 2 awaiting to be sold

I'm really lazy so I tend to let all the stuff that needs attending to build up until the bike is virtually unrideable, then I'll use a different bike. I'm still hoping that the magical bike mechanic elves will come over one night and get busy.

Depends. I like to buy new or used MTB frames to upgrade and use a mixture of already owned components to build them up. I also buy new off Cycle to Work, use them, love them and treat myself to a new commuter every couple of years.. This year I shall sell last C2W commuter to fund a new niche MTB frame.

I've got loads of bikes. My problem is, I've never found a bike that entirely fulfills my needs.

I've got a bike at the moment that's close, and am on the brink of buying another that is also close. If only they would breed and make a bike that is perfect.

I've never purchased a new bike. I could never afford to get the one I wanted.
I've always purchased good used bikes and, so far, have been very satisfied. Ending up with a bike that I am fond of.:hugs:

I bought my current hybrid to commute in London, served me well for years and its in lovely condition. Actually thought I would only ever have 1 bike. I have always hired bikes when abroad. Then somebody introduced me to road biking and I got my Spech Dolce.
Now I want a carbon as well.

Will I sell any of them - No
Will I just add to the stable - Yes
Do I need more than 2 bikes - No
