We were in Rome a couple of years ago.
Enjoyed a bus tour to get our bearings and see the city and it's amazing architecture.
Thought the Vatican was disappointing, too crowded and rushed.
Colosseum is impressive but found it a bit boring inside.
Villa Borghese, museum and gallery in landscaped grounds is worth a visit.
Trevi Fountain is beautiful but was being renovated and no water in it when we were there.
Went walkabout one day and ended up in the Protestant Cemetary, very peaceful and Keats and Shelley buried there. Interesting and quite a few cats roaming about, they are fed and cared for.
Found food too salty and overpriced, watch out for thieves
