When was the last time you heard "Penny for the Guy"?

I think kids have now worked out it's better to go round trick and treating then have to sit outside a shop all day, or several days, all those sweets and chocolate and Fishermans friends in one night. When I was a child, and I am a youthful 45, there wasn't a big thing about Halloween but we did Penny for the Guy instead.

A few days ago. Odd situation. Little lad, no more than 5 years old with a 'guy' next to him. 'Penny for the guy' at every passer by. The crazy thing was his mum was sat there as well ? WTF. Weird !
