I had to travel to three supermarkets tonight in search of some bananas. In the third shop I eventually found a singe banana! It was still green but I ate it as I have to have a daily banana, apart from on Christmas day when I have a day off from the horrible things. I've heard that the banana boats aren't reaching our shores due to very choppy seas which means the bananas can't be transported over here as they have to have a gentle trip over to stop them from bruising. 🤔 How's the banana situation where you live?!🧐

Working in politics would be the obvious answer.

Plenty of bananas but they are nearly all green and take ages to ripen.
And I prefer my bananas on the greener side of yellow but not that green!

There are seven in our fruit bowl. Please don't come round Accy. I'm not feeling particularly charitable tonight.
There was one left in mine but I called in at Lidl earlier and bought five more. They had quite a lot on display, but about two thirds of them were green.

Aldi seemed to be a bit low on nana stocks a couple of days ago and most of the ones that they had were green too.

The green ones can be turned pretty yellow in a couple of days by putting them in a plastic bag with some apples.

I had 2 yellow bananas in my fruit bowl today.
I need one a day for my lunch at work, went to Aldi, found plenty but all green.
Had to buy 12 because they are quite small  I'm on 6 days next week.
They will ripen by the time I need the first 2, that will be on Tuesday.

I never buy Aldi bananas unless like last night their's are the only ones left, as they are so small. The one of theirs last night was very green (but surprisingly quite big) which is unusual for them as they always seem to be going brown and soft.

They vary. Sometimes they are small, but other times they are average size, and occasionally even bigger than that. If buying loose bananas which are charged per banana that makes a difference! (If by weight, no problem, just eat 2 small ones.)

I have 11 bananas in my kitchen. Five large ones and six mini. I always buy my bananas in Aldi because one can be pretty certain they will have mini bananas. These fit neatly in my jersey pockets for cycling, the large ones are for breakfast with Weetabix.

Mini bananas are a specific product in Aldi. The standard banana is the "Cavendish" while mini bananas are a different variety "Lady Fingers." Perfect.

I do know some very boring stuff.......though there is a reason in this instance.
