Where are the bees?

We've a cotoneaster in the back garden, and normally it is buzzing, a real hive of activity. This year, there is hardly more than 2 at a time, and none of the small bees that used to go absolutely nuts over it,
Is it just our garden? Or have other people noticed a decline this year.
Really saddened by it.

Not as many as last year though, they seemed to love the Snapdragons in the garden, will need to get some for this year

Me too! I counted 20-30 before I gave up because they kept moving! And we have two of those plants let alone the other ones that they like.

I used to be plagued by them every summer, but I rarely see them these days and I don't think that I have actually seen one yet this year.

Sign that, they( they being Bayer and the like) are trying to get the ban on blanket pesticides lifted. That will be the end of the poor old bee.

The laburnum in our garden has got tons of bees on it, quite a loud buzzing noise from them if you stand near to it.

We have loads of flies and could ship some up to you if it would help to fill the void - they sound similar, just a bit smaller though.
