We have got a bumble bees' nest at the bottom of the garden, in some old rotten woodwork fixed to the outside of the garage. This is the 3rd year in succession we have had a bumble bees' nest in that part of the garden and this year the nest seems to be far busier with a lot more bees swarming around it than previously.

Sign that, they( they being Bayer and the like) are trying to get the ban on blanket pesticides lifted. That will be the end of the poor old bee.

Initially there was a fight to get these chemicals banned, if I remember rightly the evidence for the ban was a touch sketchy, now theres been a fight on as the pesticide companies try and get the ban overturned.

We have two nest in our eaves - not sure if they are bees, bumble bees or big wasps. As long as they don't invade the house they are more than welcome to stay.
