Where can I buy a cheap bedside lamp?

Other than Argos...What highstreet shop would I be able to get a cheap bedside light?

The Argos ones are cheap, but they use special bulbs which cost the same as the lights which just seems like a false economy.

I'm trying to rack my brain but can't think of anything...might just have to bite the bullet tomorrow.

I did see some solar powered garden lights in there the other day ...not bed side lamps.

In Airdrie there are two kinds of shop. Charity shops and shops, invariably run by Asians, that are packed to the ceiling with the cheapest example of every kind of household good available on earth!

Tasteful and exotic figurine, £1.99

You'd get a lamp in there. It might work, it might not.

Probably out of town as well, but I got a really cheap one from Asda which included an energy saving bulb.

I looked...the lighting section was pretty poor in the Norwich one.

Might look at the one in M&S, or if not just bite the bullet with the Argos ones.
