I can't commute every day as I have 30kg of kit to haul about on dog grooming days. Tomorrow I am only dog walking so will commute in to work.
Don't suggest one of those cargo carrying bikes, I drove from Holt (work) to Wymondam (home) today and its too far to cycle if I want to do more than one job a day!

Last year would have said a, and put my boyfriend above all else, then my cat, my family, playing music and finally cycling. Since then cycling has risen, but it is still just a means to an end, a journey without a destination is just pointless wandering as far as I am concerned.

Commute not applicable as I work about 200 yards from home and the safest place near work to leave my bike is ... my house!

I do it because it's a nice way to see the countryside if you're not in a hurry. A useful by-product is gaining some level of fitness; and it also helps financially as the more time spent cycling means less time spent doing my other hobbies which involve burning petrol, and in doing so, contributing money for the Chancellor to waste.
