Just an observation whilst occupying the grandkids in the car, lots of silver/grey cars, lots of white, good amount of red variants but very very few green. We did a full 2 hour drive not seeing a single one.

My Dad would never have a green car - said they are unlucky

no idea why - he wasn;t superstitious about anything else but they have always been rather rare

I seem to remember a Wheeler Dealer's episode where Mike said they are difficult to sell

I read somewhere that green cars are involved in more accidents than any other colour. Is it because they're invisible?

My first car was one of these, it had been my father's for six years until he gave it to me for a 17th birthday present.

A few years later my father had one of these.

My cousin had a green mini van like mine, as soon as she painted it turquoise it got written off by a lorry.

Vauxhall do a lot of green cars - Corsa and Mokka spring to mind.

I think silver/grey must be the most popular.

My first car was green. Come to think of it, so was my first motorbike.

We've only seen a couple of Corsa's the main manufacturer we've seen when we have seen any are the VAG group, but they do appear to be few & far between.

It's supposed to be unlucky.

My Mum had a green 306 for many years and nothing untoward happened it. A neighbour had a puke-green Marina for years and nothing unlucky happened it either.

I don't believe superstition hogwash but I wonder why green cars were considered unlucky in the first place.

I would happily buy a green car. To me it would be preferable to all the bland greys and silver that seem to be the normal now.

Green was an unlucky colour in Hull, difficult to sell green bikes! Something to do with being a fishing port.
