Sometimes I start waving and have to give myself a stern rebuke.

Surely that sort of thing should be restricted to the privacy of your own home? :becool:

I read a thread on here a few months ago. @Scoosh we discussed this a couple of months ago. Cycling etiquette between roadies and all other cyclists. (Have you got the link)
Anyway the reason I ask.
Today in the middle of nowhere I herd a couple of bikes coming in my direction at speed. (Motorbikes). As a speed freek I was looking forward to them screaming past me. So as I pooteld up the hill they turned the corner and the strangest thing happend. The pair of them looked at me and gave me that nod. You know the one men do when they don't know you but are like orite? Yeah that one.
Have I missed something or is this a legit thing that happens?
Only thing I can think of is this - the

The last person who didn't say Hi to me when I said hello, I chased him down, pushed him off his road bike, stood over him, standing on his baggy shorts, grabbed him by his his viz jacket and screamed in his face "I SAID HI TO YOU".
After I pulled the headphones out of his ears, (which was easy easy as he wasn't wearing a helmet) he realised what I was saying. He very quickly said Hi back. So I let him on his way. Perhaps in the future he will think about his selfish actions of not saying hello back to another 'needy' cyclist brother.

@ianrauk you forgot to mention if he was wearing replica team kit or not

Nod and get nods off motor cyclists a fair bit only the full leather clad types though. All good stuff.

No one nods at me when I'm riding my folding bike with a big ding dong Dutch bell ringing on every bump in the road!
Poor you!
I see an older gentleman on a similar bike sometimes on my commute, always give him a big smile, he always looks back sheepishly, as in "my other bike is a TT racer"
