So last summer I did Hull-Harwich. This summer I did LeJoG. So my question is where to next summer? Anything from 5-15 days, 400-1200 miles, mainly on road or cycle paths, don't mind going into Europe. Any suggestions?

I have just done Geneva to Calais in 6 days, got back yesterday. Staying at F1's, Ibis, Local hotels etc's
535 glorious miles over the beautiful Jura mountains, through the magnificent French countryside on the even more magnificent French D road system.
It's well worth doing,

Maybe Milan to Basel or to a further end point like Milan to Calais or Caen...
I have thought of this hence why I have mentioned it.
I have just returned today from Basel.
Did round cycle from Basel to Strasbourg round to Basel going Through France, Germany then back into Switzerland...Took me 4 days but I tend to stop and admire places using camping in local parks and hostel.

Sorry I did not quite understand the route you took. I am interested in this thread as I am also looking for an interesting route.
Can you please add little more detail.

This summer I have done the following.
Albania- with Explore but you can easily do it on your own. Would love to go back, perhaps to the north, extending to Kosovo.

From Budapest to Belgrade- 600km with couple of excursions. As a lonely cyclist.

Across Switzerland, from Friedrichsharfen to Geneva through Lausanne. About 600km. Again on my own. Self organised tour.

I stayed at a friends place, he lives and works in Basel. From Basel, I hired a bike from the train station there.
From Basel, the Rhine runs through it, the Rhine also acts as a border between France and Germany.
Basel is mainly a Swiss city BUT part of it is in France and part of the city is in Germany.
I cycled from my friends place through the France part and into France (the left side of the Rhine). I visited Mulhouse then Colmar on leg one. I camped in Colmar.
Second leg, from Colmar and into Strasbourg (France still), and styed here in a hostel that was good.
Third leg (third day also) I cycled to Offenburg (now other side of the Rhine, Germany) then fell short of Freiburg and camped I a public park.
Fourth leg (forth day) cycled into Basel, bike back to station.
A fine circular route. Perhaps can be done faster, I borrowed a 26 inch wheel, rack bike and so took it easy, taking in sights.

After LeJog why not Channel to Med. Around 1000-1200 miles depending on your route.

I think that you might mean 1000 - 1200 kilometres.:okay:

It's around 650 - 700 miles from Calais to the Med, a surprisingly short distance. If the European bike bus serice is used you can get dropped off at Calais and picked up at Montpellier.
