Ikea beds are only about two inches wider than UK standard sizes, and they do UK size matresses if needed. I find them good and well priced.

On the dont use side Bensons are useless. Matress collapsed, they did not want to know (shop would not deal with me) so took to court and they paid up on day before the hearing so maximising my stress and effort.

Was just going to warn against Bensons. Honestly, they are the biggest pile of muck imaginable.
We spent ages being "measured" on their clever "this will tell you exactly the mattress you need" machine, and trying out loads of mattresses before finding the right one.
Had it delivered and the mattress was rock hard. Complained to the shop and was told it takes a good six months for it to "soften"
12 months on it still hasn't.
Not very helpful sorry.
