Where to buy second hand?

Apart from CC classifieds, Singletrack Forum and eBay are there any other good places I can look for a good second hand hardtails?

Do any of your local bike shops keep a few second hand or ex rental/ex demo bikes for sale?

Could be worth a look if so as they're likely to be checked over and serviced before sale.

Check with your local police, and see what they have on offer, they sell off bikes that have been in custody for some while, and the owners have not been traced.

Gumtree and preloved are both good places to look.

Checkout any of the shops at trail centres that hire out bikes, some really good stuff is sold off after so many rental sessions, always well maintained, and you may get some sort of warranty.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I have managed to score a brand new Orange G3 with £350 off at one of my local hike shops. I noticed quite a few bikes I was going to bid on on ebay ended early before auction finished, guess they were advertised elsewhere. Annoying that. Ended up with a good deal and a warranty anyway.
