I recently bought a second-hand Raleigh Evo 7 folding bike. The lever that holds together the central folding mechanism together wasn't tightened properly and has got lost in transit - see attached picture.

So far, I've not had any luck finding a replacement part. Other manufacturers' folding bikes seem to have a different mechanism, so aren't compatible.

Any advice on:
1) Where I can get hold of a replacement part
2) Any other ways to repair it

The frame stays in place when I wheel it along, but obviously I want to make sure it is totally secure when I ride it.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

You could try contacting a folding bike specialist like Fudges cycles. Maybe they can help?

Myself I would contact Raleigh direct. Manufacturers can be helpful you know.

I needed something for my Dawes folder, got in touch with Dawes, they sent the part free of charge complete with other freebies.

Thanks to you both. I've already been in touch with Raleigh but no reply yet. I've not heard of Fudges cycles but I'll take a look. Thanks.
