Where to go around Hemel?

Wherever you go, keep your wits about you. I used to do day rides in that part of the world and there's a small but distinct tribe of drivers thereabouts who get their jollies close-passing at 50 and the like.

Head out towards Gaddesden Row, Studham, Dagnall, Ivinghoe, Aldbury, Little Gaddesden, back to Gaddesden Row then Hemel. Mainly country lanes and a couple of B roads

I agree. My brother in law lives in Redbourn and we do similar routes regularly.

That`s what I ended up doing in the end, nice quiet roads but the road surface was shocking - potholes cost me two punctures!

Was a nice route, I was rushing a bit because the light was going (it took me 7.5 hours to get there from Devon so very late getting out:evil:). Much better than twiddling my thumbs of sitting in the pub on my own.

As for the magic roundabout, I had that pleasure in the car an hour earlier, done it loads of times before but still messes with my brain.
