Where to sell stuff?

Apart from the 'For Sale and Auction' thread on here.

A friend and neighbour is wanting to sell a pair of as new Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL wheels and asked for advice. They are not my cup of spokes so, maybe foolishly, I said I would ask the knowledgeable folk here. I think they might be either too high end for most folk I know here or possibly out dated if you are into this sort of thing.

They look nice wheels. I have several pairs of Mavic wheels on my bikes.

I take it these are for rim brakes? Being quality wheels, it would be serious club riders that would want them, but most club riders have now switched to disk brakes. This probably means that your target buyers are riding older or lower end bikes and may not want to pay what they should be worth.

eBay is my suggestion but you probably need to offer postage. Without that you're likely to get a lower price.

Alternatively Facebook groups; i.e. there's a Yorkshire Cycling Sales FB group where I am.

They are clearly good wheels but people are selling full rim braked 11 speed bikes for £400/500 these days.
