Hi folks, I am stuck and can't make a decision.
I put my Cannondale Synapse up for sale, it's an aluminium one, and it's not sold. Not even a sniff. So I thought about it as a winter ride. It's in beltin nick the problem is it's heavier than my Cad 10, only got Sora 8 speed, and it handles differantly. The Cad is a really good bike and I'm loathed to leave it.
What are your opinions on the subject, change or don't change?
Also I haven't got a clue about Tyres, what would be best for the coming weather.
Thank you

Synapse as winter bike. Doesn't matter that it's heavier. better training value per mile. Conti GP 4 Seasons. Other's MMV. As wide as your frame will allow. On a 15c rim, aforementioned tyres nominally 28 actually come up as less than 26mm wide.

This. Although I'd plump for Schwalbe Duranos over 4 seasons. I found they fell apart after not very long (less than 1000 miles IIRC) and Conti's response was basically 'tough'.
