which bike any thought

I am currently looking to buy a, new bike currently looking at a giant defy 1, cannondale synapse both 2015 models and a merida scultura 2014. All with 105 groupset and alloy frame. Anyone got any thoughts or experiences on these. Thanks

I have the Defy 1 and really please with it, Upgraded the brakes to 105's and just changed the seat but apart from that all as spec. They do half sizes on the frames so more options there. Only been biking for 9 months and can't compare to other bikes but reading up on all the reviews for the Defy you wont go far wrong

Folks tend to favour the bike they have (unless they bought the wrong size or didn't try it out first). Best is to go look at them, sit on them, test ride them and get proper advice on sizing

Personally I would go for the Ribble deal on the R872. Great carbon frame and full 105 for less than £900

If that is not to your taste, I have a few friends who have got the Defy 1 and they all rave about it although I have never ridden one myself.

Don't rule out a Specialized Secteur. The Bike Shed have the 2014 Secteur Elite Disc down from £1200 to £699.
It uses the same frame as the 2015 Diverge (in ranges below the smartweld)
