A Cleland or a Highpath. At a pinch one the the English Cycles clones.

Nothing. I have three that pretty much cover everything:

Ribble Winter/Auduax with carbon forks - this is my light bike. I don't race, so it's light enough for me, and can take a rack if I want to carry things (although it doesn't have one at the moment) )Frame £20 off Vernon, late of this parish. New forks, other parts secondhand.
Drop bar rigid MTB with slicks and rack - do it all commuter/tourer/utility bike £26 off ebay plus bars, bar end shifters and stuff
Flat bar rigid MTB with knobblies - for off road stuff. I more inclined to going off road to get to a place rather than to jump over stuff or belt downhill £31 off ebay plus new tyres, cables and grips.

Motorised fat bike

I'm holding off on the e-bikes until I *need* one because of old age or infirmity. I can see the attraction though.
