Which bike looks better?

I'm looking at two bikes on Ebay. I'm trying to figure out which one is most likely to be in better condition. Both are used so I guess I'm looking for anything particularly problematic. Tyres, seat and grips will be changed immediately.

They both have their battle scars, between the two I'd go for the second one that is a "Buy it now".

Yes I'd plump for the second one Though perhaps get the seller of the first bike to put more pics up as your not seeing as much of the detail and plus the fact that if its a good distance from your home town hes adding £32.00 on for carridge it might be cheaper to pick up. Though if your anything like me I'd look around some more; have you looked at secondhand bike shops that may be near you?

The second one at £175 appears to have a replacement rear wheel that looks relatively new and also looks to have a new chain, cassette and new tyres all round. From what I can see the rear derailleur also looks to be in good nick compared to the general scuffing of the paintwork on the rest of the bike.

Thanks guys, seems I missed out on the second one! Gonna keep looking, I just sold the same model but in 20" frame size as it was too big.
