I think that's the right way round with Felt. Z is the "Sportive" one and F the "Race". Checking the specs of the Z95, they've put a 11-32 cassette on which will have you climbing no problem at all, about as low a gear as it's possible to get on a road bike. A good buy IMHO

PS I wouldn't suggest a road bike based on what you've said... you might actually NOT get into cycling and a decent road hybrid like the Giant Escape in some incarnation would be a better, more versatile and more generally comfy thing to be on. Plus you get more bike for your money on a hybrid at that budget!

Get up the road to the decathlon store and sit on a few bikes. I bought a hybrid when i got back into cycling but within 50 miles or so of riding wished i had bought a road bike.
