Which brake pads for the wet

Just wondering what you all use for the winter on your road bikes. Mine were useless today. I have the insert type.

Any advice?

thanks

Shimano?

People rave about kool stops. the rubber is softer and you get slightly better braking. but the pads wear a lot sooner.

Thanks chaps. Gaz I am running 105 pads at the mo on my winter bike and they were shocking today. Will give the Koolstops a go

There are some techniques you can try to help improve the braking in wet. such as randomly pulling on your brake (not too hard mind) to clear the water off the rim.
It's going to have a limited affect but better than nothing.

Clive, I'm currently running Koolstop blacks on my rear wheel and the braking in the wet is impressive. The salmons are meant to be even better but I haven't got round to putting those on yet.
