Which (carbon?) bike frame for 'touring'

Hi all

In September I am looking at cycling with some colleagues from JoG down the hill to LE

A few miles I know.

Looking at getting a new ride, possible carbon. My main use will be long distance (30-50) rides after wards so i am looking for a frame/bike with a relax style for cycling ~80 miles a day.

Price is up to £2000 or so. Looking for a supplier who partake sin the C2w scheme to save cash on the first £1,000.

Thinking of the Shimano 105 group-set (triple chain wheel and a 11-28 cassette)

Any suggestions please?

For touring it would definitely not be carbon (my opinion). Light touring at a push but a decent steel or if you can go a bit higher then Titanium can be a great option.

A 105 triple groupset would be perfect.
