I'm after a better degreaser for the drive chain. Which do you recommend please? For a mountain bike and I'm not after waxing the chain afterwards etc.

Started young, and still going.
I've used White Spirit for 60+ years, works a treat. Gets all the gunk off of the transmission easily.

@fossyant has the best suggestion I think - I use Muc-Off drivetrain degreaser when I don't clean for a while as it's spray on so gets into things well, but when regularly cleaning I use cheap citrus degreaser from whatever source I can get it. I have about 3L of a 5L tub I bought a few years ago left.

For daily cleaning I'll get a microfibre cloth with a little degreaser sprayed on and then just wipe over everything and run the chain through it by hand.

Screw Fix No Nonsense Degreaser. 5l lasts ages as you dilute it, and it's also really good for general household cleaning.

+1 for SF

Well, write it down boy ......
I'm not sure why you want to degrease your chain, if you mean as a precursor to cleaning it I'd use diesel and wipe off really well. I then like to apply chainsaw oil (again diluted with a bit of diesel).

Quite dreadful
I use Jizer in an ultrasonic bath, and then thoroughly rinse, dry and re-oil. Not very often but sometimes.
