Which Full Suspension MTB for £1,000 or less?

A mate of mine at work is after a Full Suspension MTB for £1,000 or less (preferable on the Cycle to work scheme...)

Does anyone know of any good deals out there at the moment?

Harsh, but fair!

If he is planing to commute as well as off road the get a hardtail and just add slicks for city use.

If it's a weekend off road only rig then best bang for buck in a full susser will be one of the Giant range.

You don't have to get a road bike, especially of you like patching together different types of terrain for mixed rural and urban riding.
