Puppy is marvellous. I've brought a lot of dead computers back to usefulness from Puppy, and the forum is excellent.
And if you want a secure OS, try running Puppy from a PC without a hard drive. If the machine was ever compromised, reboot and it's back to normal again.

I'm not too sure about Puppy. I don't seem to be able to get it to connect to the interweb on all PCs. Also I could get connectivity on my home PC when I booted it off a memory stick, but not from the CD.

I am trying out ZenWalk now. It doesn't always want to connect up either. Interestingly, it seems to come with a compiler/IDE. It seems quite quick.

I was thinking of replacing ZenWalk as it is a bit of a faff getting it to connect onto the interweb. However, I've just been enjoying all its screen-savers while listening to listen-again and I might give it a reprieve. First was a game of pac-man. Then it displayed some 80s BASIC code for running garish visual effects on low resolution screens. This was followed by a rather worrying sequence of 80s and 90s computer crash screens from various operating systems. Ah memories!
