I've not quite done two Everests.

But I love this thread. We need to measure and quantify everything this way including

...Double decker buses...

If my calculations are correct*, I'm just 166 double decker buses shy of 10,000 double decker bus heights climbed in the year. I think I should be able to make it.

* which they probably aren't, but who cares.

Edit: And in so doing, I've done enough work to raise a blue whale by 25 metres (On land, that is. I've not done any corrections for buoyancy. That would be silly).

Just one Everest on the bike, but a full Kilimanjaro, Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike on foot.

During this year, I have exposed 100 tennis courts' worth of rubber to the road* and had only one puncture.**

*Based on the assumption that I trace a track 1cm wide with each wheel. Which is probably wrong, but hey, who cares?

I don't have exact figures on that but using an estimated rate of drinking I've come up with a rather feeble 0.002%*

On the other hand, I've been in the saddle long enough to listen to Mull of Kintyre 2,350 times.

* This figure is diluted. If I had been drinking barley water, diluted at say 1:5 with water, then it would be down to 0.0004% OSP/year of neat barley water.

I've managed an average elevation of 1 chain for every mile ridden (chain)

200,000 feet in 3000 miles

just under 7 Everests - may be able to get this to 7 by the end of the year.
