Which Multitool?

Somebody gave me a multitool but it's missing the size hex I need to adjust my saddle.

I'm going to order a multitool but there are so many to choose from, what do people recommend? I realise this is probably a stupid question to anyone with a bit more experience.

Thanks

The Topeak ones are popular, or go to the LBS and buy the one that does what you need  I also like the separate ones like a hook for stuff at home e.g. http://www.evanscycles.com/products/fwe/hex-key-wrench-set-ec053184

Thank you @vickster

I wouldn't have a chance to get to my LBS for a couple of weeks so ordering online! While you're here, favourite padded shorts? :girl:

Do you know what size key you need. I've not yet found anything that the hook type linked don't fit. If wanting a multi tool to carry with you, I reckon this will do you fine http://www.evanscycles.com/products/topeak/x-tool-multi-tool-10-function-ec005466

For me, Sportful or gore, pearl Izumi as third choice. I'm a larger cyclist and they fit me better and come in bigger sizes. I'd avoid altura pro gel. DHB are popular but they don't come in large enough

Buy a few from wiggle, can always return if no good. I tend to pay about £35-40 for ones that retail at around £60-80 as those brands cost more at rrp

I'm assuming you mean the for/aft and horizontal alignment? Which is 8mm, as the height only requires a 3.5mm (on mine) from memory- I wouldn't bother buying a multi-tool with that size on, I would keep the multi tool you have and buy a decent alan key set to have at home. Much the same as most multi tools don't have a pedal spanner.

I have a Topeak Mini 20 which has mostly everything I need by the roadside.

Yes that's right... I obviously hadn't tightened it enough when I put my new saddle on and I was cycling with my sister on Saturday afternoon and suddenly the back of my saddle was down as far as it would go

I have tightened it as much as I can now with a borrowed alan key, but thought I best get a multi tool that I could use when out in case it ever happens again.
