We get our local paper once a week (jobs night! ) but apart from that I skim-read online versions when I can be bothered / have time which is probably every other day. What I prefer about 'free' online news is you aren't paying for entire chunks of newspaper that you have no intention of reading.

The Morning Star, Private Eye, Charlie Brooker's piece in the Guardian (in smiths, I don't buy it) and various web news sites. I like to read as many different sources as possible to try and get a balanced view of the news.

I voted Guardian but maybe I should have gone for Other, I don't buy newspapers anymore and use online facilities. Still buy Private Eye fairly regularly, Economist occasionally and have an on off relationship with New Scientist. Online I use the Beeb, Guardian, Telegraph, Daily Mash, Private Eye, NYT, Economist, The Onion, The Huffington Post and quite a few more specialised financial blogs. I'll dip into others less frequently and read the local rag that drops through the letterbox.

I read a lot of papers, but mostly read online now. I'll happily read The Sun, Independent, Telegraph but I do quite like the Guardian so picked that. I dont consider myself a liberal-leftie at all.. just they appear to be one of the few papers that can come across unbiased in the articles I have read.

I agree - I voted Grauniad, but I only really read it online.

I subscribe to Private Eye (and Viz) but get my news from the BBC and Guardian websites.

I can hardly remember the last time I entered a shop and bought a paper!
