Which route to take?- Advice needed

Hi,

I am going touring for about 10 days in the summer with a friend but as we have not been before we are struggling to find a suitable route. We have looked at doing hook of holland to le harve and think we could handle the mileage ok. However, we are also thinking about just touring france. Would appreciate any advice anyone has, ie. which option would be more scenic/interesting and any other suggestions as to routes we could do.

Try some UK based touring first then there'd be no doubt about your mileage capacity. It will also let you evaluate your kit - which bits to keep and which bits to jettison.

As for appropriate routes - you'll get as many different answers as you'll get responses.

'Scenic' and 'interesting' have many interpretations.....
