A chain splitter is normally part of the muilti took kits, well it is on mine, but I use magic links as just need to unclip each side, but still carry a stronger splitter as most chains have hardened pins these days, cheap splitters tend to bend

Yeap the Crank multitool has a chain splitter and works fine.
