The first one has a compact, the second one doesn't. If that makes a difference to you then that may steer your decision either way.

If your not bothered go for the one you prefer the look of, that's what I would do!

I'm done with brands now. I wear B'twin clothing and ride Planet X bikes. £500 extra for a paying someone else's advertisement bill. No thanks! Nice bike though.

Perhaps the frame is better, it's not all about the groupset (who wants that shimano rubbish anyhow  )

B'Twin & Planet X are still brands, albeit 'value' brands. They're still buying in, sticking their label on it and selling it on, just like most other companies. You don't know what you're talking about.

I think it's worth pointing out that Cannondale, unlike some other brands, produce their own frames using their own R&D people instead of buying in off the peg frames and putting a sticker on it like Planet X do. That's why you won't find a 'full' shimano groupset on their bikes as they have their own BB standard that Shimano don't make chainsets for. The Supersix is a race proven frame that was designed, tested, raced and made by Cannondale. That's what you pay for. How many frames do PX make?

The bloke is probably riding it to work mate! Wind your tits in.

B'twin is a brand, however, my jersey costs £3.99. Bet it does the same job as a £60 one. My bike is also a brand, you're right. Bet it does the job of that cannondale too, and faster.

Anyway, buy what you want mate! It's your money.

Er, you're the one ranting about overpriced brands and non-complete groupsets on bikes. If there's anyone who needs to 'wind their tits in' as you so eloquently put it, it's you.

He may only be able to use his voucher at Evans. A supersix Evo,wouldn't be my first choice of commuter, not least due to the value and having to leave it somewhere all day
