Checkout the nexus 2 7" which should be out next week it should have a screen resolution of 1980 X 1200 and the 32gb model should be under £200

I have a Nexus 7 and can't fault it. When I see people using iPads and Samsungs I get the impression, but have no evidence, these are better for games and movies. When I made my purchase I wanted to combine a wide range of functions in one machine and feel I made the right choice with Nexus.

My main uses are:
Email
Web
TV
iPlayer
Kindle app
Work - spreadsheets and word docs

Being able to sync everything through google is very useful and simple though I do feel the lack of a simple sync with Outlook is a drawback. Understandable though.

The one thing which irritates is it has a forward facing camera which means the Nexus is useless for taking pictures. I knew this when I bought it. I didn't know forward facing meant towards the user!!!!

If the only function you want is movies then. Samsung could be the better choice as it appears to me to have a better screen. However that is a very limited use of a very powerful and useful bit of kit. For movies a 7" is adequate and much easier for travelling than a 10"

i decided on the nexus 10 after visiting pcworld and had a play of the tablets there both 7" and 10" and ipads, found that the movies looked and played better on the 10" tablets. sadly they didn't have the any nexus 10 there to play with so played with the 10" samsung tablets they had. it's primary use will be films but i will do other things on it also.

I bought both a nexus 7 and a galaxy note 10.1 with some money that was a gift from work. I ended up selling both and getting a Nexus 10. The screen is just way better than that on the note 10.1, it is also better than the Nexus 7 screen, but not as noticeable with a 7" screen. Advantages of the Note 10.1 are the S-Pen as it is in a different league than stylus' on regular tablets. But if you do not use it like me its a waste. I just prefer a bigger screen as I would of probably kept the Nexus 7 as it is a really good portable tablet with a decent screen for a 7" tablet.

The only disadvantage of the Nexus 10 is that it takes ages to charge via the micro USB socket with mains electricity. Still its good to just have one charger lying around that I can use with my tablet and my mobile phone. A SD micro slot would of been nice too, I went for the 32gb one because of this.

I too have nexus 7 and it is great
