I usually get to 3 or 4 games a season,.

Ah, you're a Commodore! (That's how fans who go to football "Once, twice, three times a season" are referred.)

Unfortunatley its Newcastle for me. Some serious investment needed or its championship footie for us again!!!!

Much as I love the passion of the fans up there, I am always secretly pleased when they are not in the same division as my team as that stadium is an abomination. I particularly despise going there (even though last time I went we got five against them) as the distance you are away from the pitch is a joke. You are that high up, you can see the Metro Centre better than you can witness the action on the Subbuteo pitch below you. In fact, if there's a disputed incident, you may as well not have been there to witness it unless you had thought to have taken the telescope from Jodrell Bank up the (literally) hundreds of steps to your over-priced, inadequate seat. To me, the worst stadium in Britain.

agree 100%, St James Park has one of the (if not) worse away fans sections I have been to.. you need an oxygen bottle to climb to your seat.

I've managed three and a half games this season; one game was abandoned at half time and the second half was played mid-week some time later when I couldn't go. Reason for abandonment - rain!

The Pride of East Anglia, Norwich City! C'mon you yella's!

Also partial to Fulham being a west london boy and the mighty Glasgow Rangers. Old Firm derbys are immense!

Oh, and Staines Town football club..

Norwich is and will always be my true love.

Davy me old mucker, we have had this discussion before. Last time I believe was just after the Norwich V Colchester game this season .

You cannot claim to be the "pride" when playing in a lower league than the real "Pride of Anglia" which of course as we all know play in blue and white.

Please also accept my apologies in advance for the forthcoming whooping we will hand out to you at Carrot Road next season .

I actually wondered if you were a follower. Frank Sidebottom is a fan (as well as City) and Alty have a player by the name of Potts.

That could have been Carrow Road: the Olympic stadium was empty! xx(

In fact there were over 28000 there - it's a big stadium

The small crowd was because the press were all predicting 4/5/6 -0 scorelines

Of course it remains the only tie won in the Olympic Stadium by a British club (maybe Sir Alex should have asked Mike Walker for some tips last week)

At the time their first ever home European defeat in the Olympic Stadium by anyone.

As to the "Pride of Anglia" stuff I think it's harmless fun. I'm looking forward to the derbies again - always great stuff.

Sadly I think we should both admit we're basically about the same these days in the grand scheme of things.

In the olden days teams like Ipswich and Norwich could, with a combo of good management (Alf Ramsay and Bobby Robson especially and for us Dave Stringer, Mike Walker) and a good crop of local / youth players, challenge the best teams in Europe.

Sadly this is not likey to happen again at present and we'll both be yo-yo sides around Championship level, with one or other getting briefly promoted or relegated. The Derby's will determine the bragging rights

Obviously Ipswich (the town) is a horrible dump whereas Norwich (the city) is a cosmopolitan, beautiful, student-filled vibrant place (A bit like a continental city I always think

Agree.

Can I also nominate the away end (indeed the whole ground) of Fratton Park in Pompey. Absolute dump.

One of the pleasures of supporting Norwich in the 3rd division this year is going to places like Wycombe away.

Lovely little stadium, who opened a lot of the home end to accommodate the huge Norwich travelling army (and earn extra dosh). Although parking is terrible and there is 0 public transport.

You could walk alongside the pitch before the start and watch them warm up.
Literally standing next to the players - I even had a quick chat with Corey Smith, who ended up scoring the winner.

You can't just stroll up to teams warming up in the Prem or the Championship
