Hi,

The saying "you get what you pay for" is probably true re the track pump I got from Aldi as when I pump up my road bike tyres I have to get my daughter to hold it on the valve as it pops off with the pressure before I get close to 100 psi otherwise.

With this in mind can anybody recommend a pump that isn't massively expensive but will make pumping my tyres a one man job?!

Been using this for a while now. Seems excellent and gets good reviews.

Tescos have some reasonable track pumps from £15-20. Look ok complete with pressure gauge. Could be worth a look.

I have a Joe Blow Sport II, it is very good. My partner has a Bontrager track pump, it is even better!

Have a look at the Topeak Mini Morph nearly as good as a full size track pump 160 PSI easy, with gauge and portable with an offset bottle cage mount.

Ride It Like You Stole It!
Blackburn Air Tower II.

Silca Track pumps - had mine over 25 years, but the Blackburn does both valve types with no messing.

I got a Joe Blow Sport last year and it's perfect.

For about 5 years before that I was using a Decathlon one, (now called a Clever 7000 IIRC), and that has been a cracking pump, in fact it's still working perfectly as a back up pump, (was a workplace pump but I can't commute anymore).

Joe Blow Max 2. Similar to the Sport 2 I think but has a plastic body.

ETA: Rated to 120psi compared to the Sport's 160psi.
