I got into whisky by reading the Iain Banks book about whisky then asking for whisky in a rural Dorset pub and being told by the Scottish landlord that he's only sell me a dram if I didn't ask for coke, ice or any other 'kin pish in it.

Laphroaig Quarter Cask right now... better get another glass come to think of it!

Just poured myself a glass of this, Balvenie Caribbean cask. After maturation it is finished in casks that previously held rum giving it a spicy aromatic twist.

Received this bottle of Bruichladdich Cuvee 407 from my Son for Father's Day. A non peated Islay whisky 21 years old, further matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Looking forward to tasting this later
