The way he locks it at the end makes me laugh. If I were a bike thief the last thing I'd think about a bike wrapped around a tree like a Dali painting is "I'll have that!".

The youtube-video was posted five months ago, the Facebook-video one day ago. So it seems that someone tries to take fame from someone else's idea. But no idea who copied whom - supposedly the fb-video is the copy.

Just because something can be done doesn't always mean it SHOULD be done.

Why didn't he just use a fence tensioner. It'd save him a lot of time cutting the ratchet strap and mechanism.
And it's usually a 15mm or 17mm spanner required.
