Surely we can sue someone under the Trades Descriptions act for claiming this is summer?

I'm going out on my bike now dressed in exactly the same gear I'd normally wear from November to March and I have to remind myself IT'S JULY! Has the planet rotated and we're a southern hemisphere country now and no-one bothered to tell us?

And in my experience, these wash-out 'summers' are rarely one-off affairs and there's usually two more non-summers in the post for the next two years.
My tomatoes say you are talking bollocks!

Thinking about it, I started wearing my summer kit back in March. The residents of Somerset have yet to recover but at least I've got a decent tan (hint for those who need it: check the forecast for the UV levels rather than relying on cloud cover )

You're in Lancashire. That's your problem.

Over here on the proper side of the country it's warm and sunny.

Alternatively, rule #5 applies. That it's cold and wet is irrelevant. It's after March so short sleeves and shorts needed.

Move down Sarf......
Every summer I moan to Mrs jazzkat about the state of our summer and say we should move down south where it is warmer and sunnier.
Then we remember it's full of southerners!

They grow tomatoes at Friðheimar in Icaland with temperatures of -15 to -20

Couldn't see the Dingle Land on the map...

oh come some of you norvern english 'men' are complaining about a few drizzly and windy days, feel sorry for those in the north of Sweden! 24 hour day light and they still have below 5 degree c temperatures normally and 10 degrees isn't even in sight and have so much snow they can't walk!

akward time of year for weather, i want a ton of rain to get my grass for grazing sheep growing again but at the same time we just want sun, heat and dry weather for the hay making! believe the boss is cutting hay today so we'll bale it thursday or friday and then it can chuck it down next week once we've got the hay in the barns, deal?
Cheers Ed
