Tell me how much it costs and I will decide whether to buy it or not.
I am like Sheldon in Big Bang theory when it comes to these things.

Damn...i forgot about those. I go to Asia often on business and in upscale clubs, they have a guy who massages your shoulders while you have a pee at the urinal. First time this happens it's impossible to maintain the flow, you just sorta tense up. I have to tip these guys. Thankfully never experienced this service in UK
Are you sure you've not just walked into the wrong club?

From @nickyboy 's list, if the service is good I'll tip in restaurants and at barbers. Always in cash too, despite usually paying the actual bill on a card.
It's nearly 20 years since we last moved and I did tip the removal men, so probably would again.

Takeaway and taxi drivers I'll generally just round up to the next £ - but if it's a taxi driver they only get a tip if they've a) gone on a sensible route to where I want to go and b) made some effort at communicating during the journey. Sit there in total silence and they'll get nowt.
Never used Uber and have no intention of doing so - the way I see many of their "drivers" carry on with other people in their cars is enough to make me think twice.
I am my gardener / handyman and it's a poorly paid job with no prospect of a tip.

Grocery delivery? Not a chance - I don't tip couriers or other delivery drivers and I don't see that they're any different. You don't tip the checkout operator at the supermarket do you..?

I've noticed and increasing amount of "Xmas tip boxes" appearing in places that I wouldn't even consider paying a tip - there was one on the counter in the butchers last week!

My wife is in charge of Xmas tipping using the money I have earned, I am sure most of you lot would have had a fiver or two, judging by the amount that goes out.

Would I change her, no way.

Waiting staff in resturaunts if the service has been ok...always tip albeit just £2 or £3...c'mon, I'm only in a Toby or similar, not the Ritz :becool:
If I were at a bar buying a round I'll sometimes 'one for yourself?' the bartender..but only at Xmas....but it's rare I in a bar anyway.

Always used to get a tip or a pack of beer but we never see them anymore.

Delivery drivers...not generally but the last ones brought a ton of diy stuff and placed in in the house where I wanted it...very helpful...i gave them a fiver for a bacon roll as thanks.

So yes I tip when I feel like it, but modestly.

Taxis are a funny one, I rarely use them and find them expensive so hate tipping, I always suspect most of the cash (after expenses) goes in their pocket anyway. Or maybe I'm just a tightwad

Waiter / Waitress (if service good)
Taxi Driver (if civil, and does not talk Politics or Sport)

Always in cash, even if I pay by card.

I am not sure why I would tip these two groups, and not others. I do not really like the idea of tips. Person should be paid for the job they do, and, they should do it well. I suppose I actually think tips are a little demeaning.

Restaurants, taxis, hairdressers pretty much always. Barstaff (mostly in gig venues but also on the very rare occasions I go a pub) fairly often - the last orders round always had to include one for the staff when I was regular, it was The (my) Roolz. Nowadays if there's a load of people behind the bar I'll often offer one to the person that serves me on my last round and if there's just a couple of people working I offer a bar staff round like in m'youth.

I don't get this 'tip if the service is good' it should be fecking good it's thire job and in the interest of the business, any business, and the managers to make sure people are providing the service people expect and are paying for. If someone goes out of the way or above and beyond then fair enough.
