Who else has burnt there finger nails ???

this came up the other night when my daughter was telling how she accidentaly burnt some of her hair doing something and how the smell was horrid which we both agreed on .

My other half then chirped up that the smell of burning finger nails was even worse at first i thought she was joking but no she was being serious , has anybody else ever dome the same ??

Burnt them once or twice. They leave a bit of an odd taste in your mouth.

My pals eyebrows smelt funnier when I offered him a light with my lighter on incinerate setting instead of ignite. It took out some of his eyelashes too.

I have long nails and once or twice have burnt them. Not nice at all.

The smell of my eyeballs burning during laser surgery is one I won't forget in a hurry. Kind of like burnt bacon stuck to the grill. Never done my fingernails though.

Fingernails and hair are both essentially made of the same stuff so no wonder they smell similar when burned.

Has she tried making her roaches a bit longer?

No but(t) I know someone that tried it and had difficulty sitting down for a while.

Once (only once thankfully) torched my pubes. Never really thought things through beforehand. I was thirty-three at the time.

I have put a hot k wire (like a big darning needle) into collections of blood under nails. But that was a long time ago

On a different note, I was once being shown a high powered sandblaster by a company called Danville Engineering, they were using it on a 2 pence coin and I decide to have a go...... By testing it on my nail, blew a hole in it !

As an 18 yo I had a small skin tag right on the edge of my eyelid. A surgeon took it off with some kind of soldering iron. That didn't smell too good!

For the procedure I had a local anastethic on my head. There was a gorgeous nurse in attendance. Once it was over the surgeon helped me sit up, he then told my that the nurse would help me back to the waiting area. I declined the help as I was a tough young stag in his prime.... I needed to demonstrate this to her.

I missed the door, but hit the wall full on.
Meekly and pathetically I took her hand and she led me through the door and back to the waiting area.
