Who else has no interest in cycle racing?

Who considers their selves to be a cyclist that is? I once mowed the lawn of my old gaff while the French race was on, nothing unusual about that you may think, but apparently the helicopter covering the race for TV showed me doing it without so much as a glance over my shoulder as the race went past. I had no interest in watching a load of sweaty lycra-wearing blokes I didn't know riding bikes, so I used the fact that the roads were closed as a incentive to get some important maintenance done.

I don't find that cycling translates well into a spectator sport. I enjoy riding a bike, but find watching other people doing it is a bit like watching paint dry. Admittedly I have no interest in cycle racing, even when it comes to taking part.

No real interest here, not something I would have watched before I started cycling myself and even now only have the briefest of interest.
Now golf on the other hand...

I've got more into it over the last 9 yrs, really. But like with footy, I enjoy it for the event and the spectacle... can't be bothered with working out who's where in the rankings or who's not talking to who etc. Just enjoy watching 'the occasion', and obviously helps that I love going cycling anyway

Road racing is boring, mountain biking, on the other hand

Mind you, it's not just cycle racing; I have no interest in racing, period. I enjoy watching team games, but as for watching people run/swim/drive/cycle faster than other people, I've never been interested in the least.

I enjoy watching cycling, I like the countryside views, and I like it when Cav sprints against Degenkolb and Kittel, I don't get excited about team sky though, they spoil the spectacle for me. I have no clue about football or rugby, I didn't know Bath had a rugby team for example, and I have no idea of what's going on in the world cup, although I had a good laugh when my dad's football team dropped out of the football league, he was miserable for weeks. Cricket is a mystery sport, how does anyone get into that?

Zero interest in it, but then I was born without the spectating gene: I get bored watching anything even if I love doing it myself.

I'm so interested in the Tour de France peleton going past the end of the road a mile from at the end of my street that I chose to do a FNRttC instead.

It was an informed choice. I saw the peleton of the Tour of Britain go through Pocklington a couple of years ago and I was seriously underwhelmed. It's much better viewed on a television.

I am, however, going to the team presentation evening on Thursday where I'll get to see the riders in the flesh for much longer than I would have done from the roadside.

Not fussed either way. I'm going to try & make the effort to go watch the TDF whilst it's close to home, but I don't really follow the cycle racing & all the tactics involved.
Must admit though I do quite enjoy watching the TDF highlights every evening, a good section of the program covers French history & shows some stunning scenery which I enjoy as much as the actual cycling ^_^

Never been interested in watching any sport, but I love the Tour de France.
The spectacle, the scenery, the whole thing. Weird because I don't think I've ever seen a single stage of the Giro and I'm told that is a better race.
