Who has nicked all the Italian water

Just been watching Carole doing the weather on Bbc this morning and she was saying that Italy has the capacity of Lake Como shortfall in rain and hence the water rationing in places .

That's a lot of water .

I was also watching Carole but I wasn't paying much attention to what she was actually saying.

Serious siccità in Italy at the moment. I was riding there last week (CLANG!) and we went over a pretty large riverbed that was almost completely dry. Lots in the press about possible rationing too. Although the local farmers were still putting on the sprinklers for long periods.
