As a geeky net guy, im curious how the PV:active post ratio looks for CC. Spent an hour today listening to a presentation on yahoo answers 3 year strategy and ended up mentioning CC in the meeting.

Ah sure.....but even in plain english it will be geeky. Im just thinking that early on in the days of CC there would be a high number of post per day in relation to the total number of pageviews that the site got.

As time moved on, more and more people will be coming to here from search engines such as yahoo/bing/google and getting their answer easily as there is a lot more content. That trend would interest me as a geek (but not directly related to the OP)

This wouldn't prove anything, but i suspect that the original cc members had a higher average posts per day back then. That would be an interesting chart to see.

What puzzles me is that in the olden days of C+ and the beginnings of CC Keith Oates was the leader on the post count. Nowadays he's slipped down the rankings and I'm not seeing all that many posts from him.

Not so strange at all. I think you need to be a member to download attached images. This could explain it.
