Jannie and I are planning to ride it in July 2016. We will be using B&Bs, hostels and hotels.

We are curious to know who else from CC has decided to ride it next year.

How will you be riding it? Camping or B&Bs.

My son in law and I did joggle in may 2013 using mainly the cicerone route and Garmin Edge 800. However this year starting on the
9 July 16. Sharon and I are planning on Lejog. We intend to use Royston Wood (A safer way) for most of the route. We will be using a Garmin Edge Tourer with the route downloaded onto a notepad in Google maps as a standby.

I'll be using the same bike as last time a Specialised Cirrus Sport and the good lady will be using a Giant Liv Hybrid. We intend to stay mainly in B&Bs, with a max time of 18 days but hope to get it down to 16. I'm not that young and my son in law pushed me in 2013 so this time I intend to take a slower and slightly more scenic route.

Ok, My date is now set,

Leaving Manchester on the morning of July 16th (Saturday)

I've decided on a charity (Wellchild)

The ride will take between 9 and 12 days and I have a route sorted (quite roads and cycle ways/canal towpaths)

I have a support vehicle which can carry bikes, tents, etc (There are 2 spare seats in the car if anyone fancies joining in?)

thought I'd offer this to anyone who fancies it but doesnt have the backup of a lift to LE and back from JOG and the support vehicle.

No expectations of raising for charity, If you fancy the ride we can offer the essentials.

Regards,
Axe.

As I'm staying in the UK this summer, I'll probably do it again.
I'll be setting out mid-April and it'll probably take me a month or so to get to LE via Kent before heading north.
6-10 weeks heading north to JoG as I zig-zag across the country.
Then wander my way south towards home, maybe via Ireland.

As you started this thread, Steve, tell us what day in July you and Jannie are starting. I am supporting (as in cycling with) two LEJOG groups through the South West next month (May), and if the dates fit . . .

Ajax,

We had to change our plans as one of the family organised a wedding in the middle of our holiday. Unfortunately, they cancelled the wedding last week. But it looks like we could be leading a few friends on a motorbike Tour round the UK, Scotland and Ireland during our holiday. Things move on.

All is not lost as I am on sick with stress and the doctor insisted that cycling is a great stress buster and I should get out more on my bike. I am thinking of riding the North Coast 500 at the beginning of May.

Gutted. On April the 4th , I slid off my bike on some wet mud and the car behind me slammed into me and broke my scapula . So that put an end to my JOGLE , Oh well if at first you don't succeed etc!!!! Will be attempting again in 2017.
I see a few never made it this year, how did everyone else get on?
